There is no negativity or hardships in the beyond, where we all truly live. We are simply here as beings having a human experience. To grow as beings we need hardships- that is why we are here. To grow and to experience both dark and light. The dark is merely difficult things and nothing more. Mankind has created the 'demon' to turn us away from those more difficult experiences. We must trust in God and the plan -which is to simply be and to experience. When we reach this understanding, when the fear of the darkness subsides we discover who and why we truly are - it is then that life really begins to make sense.

It was a long and winding road for Marc to travel before he learned to truly love himself and life. It is amazing to hear how Spirit never once 'gave up on him' and how he was so terribly treated at the "Christian" treatment center. He obviously does have a mission in life, and he is using his life to help others and living a good life with his family. It is a miracle he lived through his addictions. He is now such a benefit and loving person in humanity. There is a lesson that we can all learn from his incredible testimony. Thank you, Afterlife Experiences, for always bringing such enlightenment.

Very interesting, I believe drug addiction is a response to childhood trauma. The Swiss/German embassy in Bogota were very helpful, not so much the British Embassy - I was arrested and imprisoned in Delhi for possession of a small amount of Cannabis with a Swiss, an Austrian, and a Frenchman when I was 17 in 1983; when we were imprisoned we were all given a card to send to our respective embassies. Within a few days the other 3 got visits from their respective embassies, and were released, whereas I never got a visit, and stayed in prison for 3 weeks! When I got out, I had no money, so I went to the British embassy, they said they couldn't help, but I should phone my family in the UK reverse charges, and get them to send me money and a return plane ticket. A similar thing happened in the late 80s when I was robbed of my passport and money in Madrid, the embassy did issue me with an emergency passport to get home, but I had to phone my family reverse charges to get money for a ticket, in the mean time I had to live on the street!

So many unnecessary details, in my opinion, it is hard to listen...

It seems a large percentage of NDEs are ‘mistakes’ of some sort, where the person is told they don’t belong there, it’s not their time. If everything is part of an overarching plan by a cosmic intelligence, how is this so? Does anyone else wonder about this?

Back in the '80's I was visiting my gramma in New Orleans. She had been a nurse. She recounted so many times she called a "Moment of Clarity' right before a patient would pass. Years later my dad was visiting her in the hospital in another state. Called and said his mother looked bright eyed, great and much better! He was so happy. My heart sunk. I said, "Oh, no. She's about to pass, Dad. She told me about this years ago." I explained what she'd said to me. His mood changed. He got off the phone. She died within hours.

I have no doubt about heaven and the veracity of these near death experiences. I have Parkinson’s and slowly am turning to stone. Many of my friends have abandoned me. I ask God for a sign that all will be well and that there’s a purpose to all of this, but I get nothing. It’s funny because we have a new puppy and she’s in a cage. She just made a noise to attract attention and I made a similar noise back. I was thinking ‘that’s all I want: to make a noise and hear something back’. These nde’ers get introduced to God, Guardian Angels and often get shown around the cosmos. It seems a bit unfair and pointless. I feel increasingly alone and ask God to send me company, but nobody shows. Maybe this is best as I don’t really have much of a voice left after Parkinson’s has done its job! 🤔😥

The material body everybody knows and identifies with (wrongly), the spiritual body is the soul (which we really are), the life light/spark is the spirit in God's image, or the heart of the soul, what hindus call 'Atman'. So man is made of 3 things, the physical body, the soul and the spirit. The last two remain after death.

I appreciate these discussions as ive experienced much of the same all of my life. My childhood was extremely traumatic. I have shared my experiences with others more and more often. This in turn comforts others. It is satisfying and feels as if this has a purpose. I am conscious of its impact and care deeply about its effect on others and myself.

I just wonder how will deceased family members accept someone who joins them, if he was gay and they knew that.
